
LabGold™ Respiratory 4Plex (COVID-19 + Flu A/B, + RSV) diagnostic testing for Northwell team members and immediate family.
We provide on-demand diagnostic (PCR) testing for COVID-19, Flu A/B and RSV for team members and their immediate family (defined as your spouse, your child(ren) age two and up, your parents and parents-in-law, and your grandparents).
Northwell team members can pick up LabGold™ PCR testing kits for themselves and their immediate family members and drop them off for processing at their respective sites Team Member Health Services (TMHS) office or a designated Patient Service Center across our footprint. The kits can be used to test for COVID-19 in both asymptomatic and symptomatic individuals. Flu A/B and RSV testing is only for symptomatic individuals.
To help stop the spread of COVID-19 and influenza, Northwell provides on-demand diagnostic (PCR) testing for team members and their immediate family (defined as your spouse, your child(ren) age two and up, your parents and parents-in-law, and your grandparents).
Northwell team members can pick up LabGold™ PCR testing kits for themselves and their immediate family members and drop them off for processing at their respective site Employee Health Services (EHS) office or a designated Patient Service Center across our footprint.
Please carefully review the steps below if you wish to use this free service.

Pick up your kit based on your location (hospital-based or non-hospital based). When you arrive for pick-up, you will be asked to show your Northwell ID badge and you can receive up to three kits for you and your immediate family members.
- Hospital-based team members can go to the TMHS office at their site or a designated Patient Service Center.
- Team members who are not based in a hospital should go to a designated Patient Service Center.
- Follow these instructions to complete the lab registration. Note: please ensure you scan the QR code and select who you are (team member, family member, or general public). For lab regulatory compliance, insurance information is required for all who are tested, including team members. However, there is no out-of-pocket charge for COVID-19,flu or RSV testing.
- Once you scan the QR code and begin the process, additional instructions will appear on your phone. You will receive a text informing you that your specimen has been linked to your registration and when your specimen has been received in the lab.
- Follow the instructions for self-swabbing, including scanning the barcode on the testing tube, and ensuring the cap is fully closed on the testing tube.

On the same day you collect the sample, drop off the LabGold™ tube for testing
- At our designated Patient Service Centers, you or your immediate family can hand off the tube to a phlebotomist
- We ask that if you are hospital-based and utilizing your site TMHS office for drop-off, that you drop-off the tube for yourself or on behalf of your immediate family on the appropriate rack in the office
- When your results are available, you will receive a text with a link to access results. Click the link to verify your identity and view your results. By clicking the link, this will initiate an email with results to be sent to you from LabGoldResults@northwell.edu. Results will be provided within one to three days from receipt in the lab.
Team members can also access their own results on the Team Member Health Services Portal by logging in and going to the Message Center. Note, to ensure your results are accessible via the Team Member Health Services Portal, you will need to scan the QR code and choose "Northwell Health Team Member" during the LabGold registration process as noted in the instructions. Results from GoHealth and Northwell Health care locations will not be accessible in the Team Member Health Services Portal.
After you receive your resultIf your result is positive for COVID-19, please ensure that you follow the current isolation guidelines for healthcare personnel as per the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).
